At the core of the museum complex is the synagogue with prayer hall, precentor quarters, and bathhouse. The synagogue was originally built in 1730 and is now newly renovated and in liturgical use again. A former Jewish residence is also part of the museum. The objects on display offer an insight into Jewish life in a rural, Franconian community. The museum complex and its exhibits are unique in Lower Franconia.
