In the 1950s and 1960s, the garden was restored to its rococo state of 1779. The cosmological program of this garden sees the prince-bishop's palace as a symbol of heaven. The large, free-growing trees at the castle, at the large and small lake and in the roundabout are elements of the 19th century.”

Open your ears and explore the Hofgarten - new app for the rococo garden Veitshöchheim

The Bavarian Palace Administration has developed the new app "Garden Guide Veitshöchheim" for its visitors. This means that the rococo garden can now be discovered with an exciting audio walk. On the tour with 18 stations, garden lovers can learn the background to the history, idea and design of the courtyard garden via an audio guide. The apps "Gartenführer Veitshöchheim" and in English "Garden Guide Veitshöchheim" are available for EUR 2.29 in the Apple App Store and for EUR 1.99 on Google Play.
