Every year, the wine festival organizers come up with many new ideas for the first Mainschleifen Open Air Wine Festival of the year.
Numerous local wineries, the winegrowers' association "Inselweinmacher" and the winegrowers' cooperative DIVINO will present their variety of wines with around 80 wines on the festival grounds. The fairground itself offers space for around 3,500 visitors with a view of the vienyards.
Those responsible for the festival have continued to fine-tune the culinary concept. For the first time a regional fish farm is offering "Meefischli" and "Steckerlfisch". In the food truck area you will find a truck offering real "Allgäu cheese spaetzle" or a special burger with an Alpine touch. But you will also find the traditional Franconian cuisine like the"Franconian bratwurst in a roll". The culinary offer is supplemented by, among other things, tarte flambée from the wood-fired oven and a cheese and pasta factory. Those with a sweet tooth can be spoiled by the country women with coffee and cake. Homemade Italian ice cream is also on the dessert menu!
The music program covers a wide range, be it plugged or unplugged. The festival starts on Thursday at 12 p.m., on Friday at 6 p.m., on Saturday at 3 p.m. and on Sunday at 11 a.m.! On Thursday and Sunday there is a traditional lunch menu at the square.
